Discovering Early Experiences that Correlate to an Empowered and Flourishing Adulthood - American Montessori Society 2019 Conference - Washington, DC - USA

  • Washington Marriott Wardman Park Washington, DC USA (map)

Engrained in the field of Positive Psychology, this research in the area of Transformational Leadership explores experiences that contribute to a life of empowerment and flourishing.  The research was ontological/phenomenological in nature and used narrative inquiry to gather stories from participants.

This exploration is transformational in nature as it seeks to discover experiences that allowed for transformation to occur, and in the process of listening from the future, stands on flourishing and empowerment, creating a space where whatever is, is perfect.

This inquiry was a positive one, an appreciative one.  I welcomed my own transformation and the invitation for transformation that I might be able to extend from my journey.  I believe that finding experiences that are correlated to a life of flourishing can bring opportunities for transformation in the world.  I further believe that if some of these experiences can be shared with conscious parents and teachers or any other significant adult in the life of a child, the chances for increasing flourishing in the planet multiply.
